Yanni and his mother Felitsa in Katse Kala

INTRODUCTION BY THE PROGRAM PRESENTERS AND THE JOURNALIST WHO DID THE FEATURE

Both presenters: We are now going to take a trip and go to Florida where we will meet an internationally famous Greek who is making a great career abroad. We took a trip to Florida where we met the internationally famous composer Yanni Chrysomalis who guided us toward his new life. The ex-lover of Linda Evans showed us to his new private home studio and talked to us with nostalgia about Kalamata, his love for the sea and the Greek sunset.

Journalist: He is a composer different from the others. His music has succeeded in conveying the spirit of Greece throughout the world. Yanni welcomed us in his house in Florida, showed us around his private recording studio and talked to us about his new album and the power of his music.

Note by Andreas: They never went to Florida! Read below the explanation of what this interview really was...

FELITSA ON YANNI

Journalist: But how did the boy from Kalamata conquered the world with his music? Yanni's mother confesses:

Felitsa: Oh, I don't know what has got into me...I am also getting sentimental...

As a kid he was always happy, he jumped-I used to call him "my jumpy" (laughs)- and he was very responsible. He did not cause us any problems.

He has extraordinary kindness. I remember that I did not dare to make a remark to my other children. He always got in the middle and I told him "Are you a lawyer my child? I am talking to Yiorgo because he did something wrong" and he said "No, no mother". He cried as he did not want me to malono other children.

He says that he took his musicality from me because what was characteristic of him when he was born was that for two years he wanted me to sing for him in order to sleep. He did not sleep all night and had me standing and singing to him.

Journalist: Linda Evans was the woman of his life. He stood by him and helped him to succeed.

Felitsa: Their seperation was very friendly because I know they still love each other. Linda is a great person, a very nice person and I also miss her.

THE FINAL COMMENTS FROM THE PROGRAM PRESENTERS

Female presenter: You always learn the most interesting sweet truths from mothers. Yanni who is very charming-not to say sexy since little kids are watching-in the stage with his movement.

Male presenter: You must have heard that the way Yanni handles music is completely different from that of traditional musicians. He has not properly studied music, he doesn't know how to read notes or rather he learned how to a lot later, has music inside him and he has developed his own hand writing with symbols so that he can compose music the way he likes.
